Origin and diffusion

An autochthonous breed from Valle del Belice (Provinces of Agrigento, Trapani and Palermo, in Sicily) which comes from crosses with Pinzirita, Comisana e Sarda sheep.

Morphological and economic characteristics

Height at the withers:
- Male: 85 cm
- Female: 75 cm
Weight:
- Male: 100 kg
- Female: 72 kg

White coat; white head without horns in females while in males they may be present or not.
Uses: milk.
