Indigenous breed, descended from Gentile di Puglia and Appenninica.
Area of origin: Province of Caserta, Campania, southern Italy.

Morphological and economic characteristics

Size: medium.
Height at the withers:
- Male: 65 cm
- Female: 60 cm
Weight:
- Male: 70 kg
- Female: 60 kg

uni coloured: white-brown.
Uses: meat, wool, milk.
The breed is known for its adaptation to the local marginal conditions (hills).
