Origin and economic characteristics

This Italian breed was originally reared for the meat, today it is considered an exposition breed for its exclusive elegance and beauty. It is bred in Italy where it is considered a rare breed, in Germany and in the United States.

Morphological characteristics

It is a very bulky pigeon, with a round body and a horizontal gait; large breast and shoulders, upright posture and tail. Short wings, white nasal caruncles of average size.
