Origin and diffusion

Area of origin: Province of Teramo, Abruzzi Region; heterogeneous features to frequent crossings with Garganica.
The breed is adapted to the local environment (hills).

Morphological and economic characteristics

Size: medium
Height at the withers:
- Male: 70-85 cm
- Female: 60-70 cm
Weight:
- Male: 60-80 kg
- Female: 45-60 kg

Uni coloured: predominantly grey, other colours are possible.
Uses: milk (250-400 kg).
