Origin and diffusion

Area of origin: Province of L'Aquila, Abruzzi Region.
Composite of local breeds, Toggenburg from Switzerland, Alpine, Maltese and Girgentana.

Morphological and economic characteristics

Size: medium
Height at the withers:
- Male: 75-80 cm
- Female: 65-70 cm
Weight:
- Male: 70 kg
- Female: 55-60 kg

Uni coloured: black, brown, white, also other colours.
Production of milk per lactation: 230-300 kg.
