Origin and economic characteristics

Once applied as a messenger of the Italian Army, it is today selected as an exposition breed.

Morphological characteristics

A medium size dove, it presents a well proportioned shape, a lively behaviour, quite upright stance, tough skin-tight plumage; it is about 36 cm length from the beak to the tail. Large high nasal caruncle. Various colours.
