Origin and economic characteristics

It comes from the province of Reggio Emilia (Emilia-Romagna), it was created bifore ‘500 by crossing African doves  and indigenous pigeons. Lively, domestic, very elegant, very good flyer.

Morphological characteristics

Mean weight: 0,30 kg.
Length (from beak to the end of the tail): 20-25 cm.

Smooth head, very short beak broader than it is long, often slightly bent down; large round eyes. The neck of average length, broad rounded breast. Various colours.
