Origin and economic characteristics

Guinea-fowls with standard coming from northern Italy, very similar to the wild type (Numida meleagris).

Morphological characteristics

Mean weight:
- Male: 2,0 kg
- Female: 2,5 kg

Darkish grey plumage richly perly (perly spots with black orbit); the neck is violet with purple shades. Grey-black tarsus, often yellow spotted.
