Origin and diffusion

Indigenous breed, descended from Garfagnina (Apennine Group).
Area of origin: Provinces of Massa-Carrara (Tuscany) and Parma (Emilia-Romagna).

Morphological and economic characteristics

Size: medium.
Height at the withers:
- Male: 65 cm
- Female: 60 cm
Weight:
- Male: 70 kg
- Female: 50-55 kg

Uni coloured: white.
Uses: meat and wool.
The breed is adapted to the local environment (hills).
